Vinyl Pressing and Options

The Final Press

Once the test presses have been approved and the artwork submitted and approved, we are ready to press your record.

At Microforum Vinyl, we are pressing using the most technologically advanced record presses, the WarmTone Advantage presses. These fully digitized and automated machines use cutting edge modern technology which improve the overall vinyl manufacturing process and also are designed to press the best sound onto records to give that warm classic analog experience.

The record compound, a PVC polyvinyl chloride is loaded into the machine and melted using steam in a puck formation. The puck is then placed between the die with the stamper on each side, the label is loaded to each corresponding side and the record pressed at 2000 psi, whereby the melted PVC forms into the negative spaces in the stamper creating the grooves pushing the analog music into the walls of the grooves that were created in the master lacquer during the cutting stage and your record is born.
